What this question is really asking
YES requires inertia: an aging franchise cornerstone re-signing where he already sits, the path of least resistance, no relocation machinery engaged. NO requires rupture — a trade, a free-agent exit, a deliberate severing of an existing arrangement, which takes active force to execute against a settled situation. The two worlds are continuity versus dislocation.
What the chart shows
The defining configuration is Star and Gate both in Deadlock. The Chief Star, Sky Ying, and the Envoy Gate, Scene, both sit locked in the Li palace with the Chief Star spirit, and almost every palace carries a self-paired stem interaction. This is the most static field structure the system produces: the entire board is frozen against its own starting position. A Deadlock chart describes a world where what is already in place stays in place.
Key palaces
- Destination palace (Li, South) — Chief Star Sky Ying, Scene Gate, GUI over GUI, reading as Sky Net Spread Wide. Authority and timing are present but sealed; the only favored vector is staying put, not transacting outward.
- Movement palace (Qian, Northwest) — Sky Xin, Open Zone, Harmony spirit, GEN over GEN, reading as Double Obstruction. The Open Zone is the natural corridor for departure, yet GEN sits doubled against itself. The exit door exists but is barricaded by its own metal. The Travel Horse parked here cannot pull the configuration loose.
- Rupture palace (Kun, Southwest) — Sky Rui, Death Zone, Serpent, carrying Guise Strike and a Contradiction Pattern. The side that would dismantle the existing arrangement sits in the Death Zone under a self-contradicting pattern. The energy to break the situation collapses on itself.
- Actor palace (Zhen, East) — Sky Chong, Harm Zone, YII over YII, YII Ace Deadlock. The actor carries a Triple Ace Peak overhead, real standing and value, but the stem interaction beneath is pure Deadlock. High status, zero motion.
Why the chart leans Yes
- Star and Gate both in Deadlock is a whole-board lock. Every structural element favors the arrangement that already exists over any new one.
- The departure corridor, the Open Zone in Qian, is held shut by Double Obstruction. The one palace that could carry a move outward is the one most jammed.
- The rupture side sits in the Death Zone under Guise Strike and Contradiction — the force required to engineer a trade or exit cancels itself.
- The actor palace shows a Triple Ace Peak, high value and respect, sitting on YII Ace Deadlock. This is precisely the profile of a respected figure who stays exactly where he is.
- The Travel Horse appears, but in Deadlocked palaces. Motion is signaled, then voided. The appearance of movement without the capacity to complete it is the structural signature of continuity.
